BI Newsletter - September 2026

How did your leadership journey begin? My journey was never a straight line. It was shaped by uncertainty, growth, and learning to trust my instincts. I immersed myself in every layer of the business. Leadership did not come from a title, but from stepping forward when situations were unclear, taking responsibility, and continuing when results were slow. I learned that leadership is not about being the loudest voice, but the steady one who brings people together. How has your view of leadership evolved? I once believed leaders needed all the answers. Today, I see leadership as creating space for ideas, growth, and others to shine. It is less about control and more about trust and listening. Leadership must be human, empathetic, and adaptable. What values and experiences guide you? Integrity, accountability, respect, excellence, and humility are essential. Leaders must own both success and failure while ensuring people feel valued. Brand transformation, digital disruption, and unexpected challenges taught me that strategy alone is never enough. Communication must be constant, clarity intentional, and trust earned. When people understand the “why” , they can move through the “how” . How do you lead during difficult times? People need reassurance, direction, and presence, not perfection. I make sure my team knows we are facing challenges together. I provide clarity, reconnect them with our purpose, and celebrate wins. Inspiration comes from consistency and belief. How are wellness trends shaping hospitality?

Wellness is becoming a foundation rather than a benefit. People increasingly value physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being, together with preventive care, balance, sustainability, and personalized lifestyles. Hospitality can create experiences that support how people want to feel, not only what they consume. How do you maintain well-being, and how does Lebua support employees? I focus on consistency rather than extremes. Mindful eating, reflection, and time to recharge help me stay grounded. At Lebua, we make well-being part of everyday working life by encouraging balance and supporting employees physically and mentally. When people feel well, they perform well and live well. What advice would you give future leaders? Stay curious, ask questions, and step into challenges before you feel ready. Accept discomfort as part of growth, surround yourself with people who challenge you, stay true to your values, and never stop learning. Above all, lead with purpose. Clear purpose strengthens direction, decisions, and impact.
